In 1896, the factory was taken over by Eskilstuna Smidesprodukter AB, after which production focused on a range of bolts.
In 1908, the company was purchased by the newly formed Eskilstuna Fabriks AB. Working under this name, it produced chains for the first time in 1912.
 In 1933, Bultfabriks AB from Hallstahammar acquired the company. This resulted in the personnel in the Eskilstuna factory starting to produce steel windows under the product name Fenestra.
In 1970, Eskilstuna Fabriks AB merged with Bulten Kanthal AB. In conjunction with the merger, a chain division was formed.
In 1978, the company also began selling conveyor systems.
In 1981, the chain division was sold to a private individual. He subsequently sold the company on to a Dutch investment company.
In 1985, the shares in the company were acquired by Parafront AB. The Finnish company Huhtamäki’s chain operation was also purchased in the same year.
In 1986 FB Chain Ltd was established in the UK as a sales company.
 In 1987, all manufacture of conveyor chains was transferred to the Finnish company FB Ketjutekniikka OY.
In 1988, a Norwegian company was formed as well, under the name Norsk efbe.
Two changes to the operation were implemented in 1989. The plastic conveyor systems operation was sold and the company decided to focus solely on chain manufacture. Parafront restructured the operation, at which point the FB Group was formed and adopted.FB Industri was also established, to act as the parent company for the Group.
In 2001, Bergman & Beving purchased the shares in FB Industri, making it the principal owner of the FB Group. B&B was subsequently divided into three sections with the FB Group forming part of Addtech which is now listed on the Stockholm stock exchange.
