  • Superior quality
  • Produced in house
  • Always with hardened components
  • Manufactured and checked according to Swedish and international standards

s In modern materials handling, stringent demands are placed on those machine elements included in transport devices. We produce conveyor chains of various types for the mechanical engineering industry, the forestry and pulp industry, the chemicals sector, the food industry, etc. The chains satisfy the very high demands our customers stipulate regarding e.g. breaking strength, impact resistance, press fitting and weldability. The chains are produced with a high level of precision according to Swedish and international standards, and can be adapted to the needs of the individual customer.

Standardisation – ISO
Our chains are manufactured in accordance with the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) This guarantees full replaceability or the combining of conveyor chains from different manufacturers. The Swedish standard SMS 2083, the German DIN 8167, the French NF E26-106 and the Finnish SFS 2380 all now conform to ISO/R 1977.

Production method
A good conveyor chain must be designed in such a way that it can cope with heavy wear and large shock loads. These properties are achieved as a result of both pins and sleeves being surface hardened and secured as firmly as possible to the link plates. Thanks to our modern and partially automated production technology, we can supply durable chains of even quality. Two methods are used for the assembly of pins and sleeves:

  1. Roller riveting
  2. Automatic welding

Roller riveting is a cold riveting method where considerable force is used to hammer the pins against the side plates. This method provides an extremely strong joint that can withstand considerable lateral forces.

When welding, CNC controlled automatic welding machines are used, guaranteeing welds of a very even quality.

Quality supervision
We invest a great deal in ensuring that our products maintain a high level of quality and operational reliability. Quality supervision at the factory starts with an acceptance inspection of the raw material and finishes with a final inspection prior to delivery to the end customer.

In addition to our own measurements and tests, we also rely on tests carried out by the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and other laboratories in the sector. The chains are checked fully in accordance with the standard SFS 2380.

Product development
Product development has had a central position in the company’s operations right from the outset. Developments have taken place in collaboration with the chain’s users, suppliers or raw materials and various research institutes. By investigating various raw materials and trying out various alternatives, we are constantly striving to achieve more operationally reliable products. As regards manufacturing methods and the level of automation, the factory has developed into one of the most modern in Europe in our sector. Targeted investment activities guarantee that the achieved level is maintained and further developed.

The profile chain  -The Nordic region’s strongest chain!

Developed in collaboration with conveyor designers, maintenance and operating personnel from timber handling within wood processing industry. The profile chain is special developed for timber conveyors, where the most important requirements have been extremely strong mountings comprising pins and sleeves in the side plates and between pins and sleeves, as well as good breaking strength of the chain. The profile chain’s pins and sleeves are therefore welded into the side plates, which in practice has proven to be the best mounting method. The chain is produced from weldable material, which means that the driver and angle brackets can be welded to the side plates without pre-heating.

Wider profile chain
The standard version of the profile chain is already wide, but an even wider chain is required in various applications. We can supply profile chains to meet the customer’s wishes.

Drivers and angle brackets
Due to the steel construction, the chain can easily be welded for the application of drivers and angle brackets. The customer can also execute this himself by using welding electrode 48.00 or Autrod 12.51 (ESAB) wire for MIG welding.

Durability
All the parts of the chain (the side plates, pins and sleeves)  are extremely durable. This is due to:

  1. the edges of the side plates are wide thanks to the profile form
  2. the hardness of the side plates (HB200-220)
  3. large bearing surface between pin and sleeve.
  4. pin and sleeve possess considerable surface hardness and hardness depth.
  5. the sleeves are also hardened on the inside.

Impact resistance
Thanks to the high resistance to shocks and impacts, the profile chains’ properties are suitable for example in environments where timber can fall directly onto the chains or where pieces of wood can become trapped between the chain and sprocket.

Breaking force
The chain’s breaking force does not diminish, even if the side plates’ sliding surfaces are entirely worn down. The profile chain can withstand considerable excess loads.

Weight
The special steel used in the profile chain is low in weight, and as a result high speeds are permitted (e.g. in hoists). The lighter chain also contributes to reduced power consumption in the drive unit.
